Intense worry/avoidance of scrutiny or judgment by others
Nausea, sweating, dizziness, or trembling in social contexts
Can be context-specific or occur in various social situations (work/school related activities, social events, public speaking, asking questions, being the center of attention, dating, meeting new people)
Panic Attacks
Sudden period of abrupt, unexpected and intense fear that includes racing thoughts and uncomfortable physical sensations
Feelings of being out of control during panic attack
May include pounding heart, sweating, trembling, shortness of breath
Intense anticipatory anxiety about when next panic attack may happen
Fear or avoidance of places/situations where panic attacks have occurred, might occur, or would be difficult to escape if one does occur
